Terms and Conditions with Privacy Policy

Your privacy is valued and respected by the IYF. We published and designed our policies to assist you in better understanding how we collect and use personal information that you have provided us and to transparently show you what we do to protect your privacy.

IYF Atlas is IYF’s learning and development platform, built using the Cornerstone OnDemand cloud-based software.

As we update and expand our solutions, these terms may change, so please check this web page for updates to our terms and conditions. 

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

When you visit our Website, we may collect information regarding your visit from your computer. Such information helps us to determine information about how you found our Website, the date you visited our Website and search engines that may have led you to our Website. We collect this information to continually improve and enhance the functionality of IYF Atlas.

The information you may provide us with is classified into two general types (user-provided information and website usage information), both of which are discussed in greater detail below.

PERSONAL INFORMATION YOU CHOOSE TO PROVIDE

In order to make your visits to our Website as enjoyable as possible, and to support the continued delivery of these IYF solutions, we may ask you for Personal Information. Personal information includes, for example, your name and e-mail address, date of birth, gender, etc. some of which you may be asked to provide when registering with IYF Atlas. A description of some of the ways that you may provide personal information to us, as well as further details on how we may use such personal information, is given below.

1. Contact us/feedback

If you e-mail us through a “Support Ticket” link via the Atlas Support Center, we may ask you for information such as your name and e-mail address so we can respond to your questions and comments. If you choose to correspond with us via e-mail, we may retain the content of your e-mail messages, your e-mail address and our response to you. In certain cases, and with your permission, we may post content from your e-mails to us on the Atlas Support Center.

2. Questionnaires and surveys

We may occasionally ask registered learners to complete online surveys and opinion polls about their activities, attitudes and interests. These surveys help us serve you better and improve the usefulness of our content and learning experience. When requesting your participation in these surveys, we may ask you to provide us with your name and e-mail address. In addition, from time to time, IYF Atlas will offer assessment and/or tests to learners contingent on the programmatic requirements of the intervention they are participating in.

3. Social Learning

Our Website may offer registered learners the opportunity to use online forums to engage in discussions with other users. If you choose to use these features, you should be aware that any personal information you submit through these features can be read, collected or used by other viewers of these forums and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personal information you choose to submit in these forums.

4. Data Collection and Project Review
Personal data provided during the registration process and your progress within IYF Atlas’s course content allows us to better serve you as a user. Accordingly, IYF maintains consistent reports and dashboards to track and evaluate use for the purposes of adding to and assessing use of our digital solutions. These reports may also be used to evaluate IYF’s project performance by disaggregation such as but not limited to by school, state/providence, country, etc.

RIGHTS TO OPT IN/OPT OUT

You have the right to “opt in” and/or “opt out” of certain of our uses of your Personal Information. For example, you may have the opportunity to choose whether you would like to receive correspondence from us and/or third-party service providers Your Personal Information will not be shared with third-party service providers unless you give consent. 

You will also have the opportunity to opt out of communication from the Website by selecting “No Thanks!” on the registration page when asked if you would like to hear more about future learning opportunities in the Tell Me More section. Should you wish to change your selection post registration, you will have the opportunity to opt out of communications by clicking the “opt out” or “unsubscribe” link in promotional emails you receive. You may also request this by sending an email to learning@iyfnet.org, specifying whether you wish to “opt out” of receiving all future learning communications from IYF Atlas.

Please understand that if you “opt out” of receiving promotional correspondence from us, we may still contact you in connection with your registered learning relationship, activities, transactions, and communications with us.

By indicating you agree to IYF Atlas’s Terms and Conditions you are electing to opt into third-party service provider data sharing. Additional details are outlined below.

USE, DISCLOSURE, AND SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

1. Service providers

We may use third-party partners to help us operate and maintain our Website and deliver our products and services. We may also share your information with our service providers and other third parties (“Affiliated Parties”) that provide products or services for or through this Website or for our global business operations (such as website or database hosting companies, address list hosting companies, communications providers, e-mail service providers, analytics companies, implementing and national affiliation partners and other similar service providers that use such information on our behalf).

Third-party service providers are contractually restricted from using or disclosing the information, except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or to comply with legal requirements. Data may be processed in the European Union, the United States, India or Israel depending upon contractual requirements and in accordance with legal jurisdictions for the region(s) to which IYF Atlas is subject.

2. Aggregated statistics

We may disclose non-personally identifiable aggregated statistics regarding user behavior as a measure of interest in and use of our Website and e-mails to third parties in the form of aggregated data, such as overall patterns or demographic reports that do not describe or identify any individual user. Information relating to aggregated statistics will be collected through the use of third-party cookies and other third-party tracking devices.

3. Legally compelled disclosures

We may disclose your Personal Information if required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary (a) to conform to the law, comply with a judicial or court order or comply with legal processes served on us or Affiliated Parties; (b) to protect and defend our rights and property, the Website, the users of the Website and/or our Affiliated Parties; or (c) to act as needed under the circumstances to protect the safety of users of our Website, ourselves or third parties. 

CONSENT TO WORLDWIDE TRANSFER AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION (APPLIES UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED IN WRITING BETWEEN YOU OR YOUR ORGANIZATION AND IYF ATLAS)

By providing Personal Information to us through this Website, you agree that it may be used by us and our Affiliated Parties for the purposes described herein, and you further understand and consent to the collection, maintenance, processing and transfer of such information in and to the United States and other countries and territories, which may have different privacy laws from your country of residence, and which may afford varying levels of protection for your Personal Information. Regardless of the laws in place in these countries, we will treat the privacy of your information in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. By providing your Personal Information to this Website, you consent to us transmitting and processing your information in any jurisdiction, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

When you are on this Website, you may have the opportunity to visit or link to other websites, including other websites operated by us or by unaffiliated third parties. These websites may collect Personal Information about you, and (because this statement does not address the information practices of those other websites) you should review the privacy policies of such other websites to see how they treat your personal information.

PRIVACY OF MINORS

This Website is not directed at children under the age of thirteen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen on our Website. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a visitor under the age of thirteen on our Website, we will delete the information from our records.

UPDATES TO OUR PRIVACY AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATEMENT
This statement may be updated periodically and without prior notice to reflect changes in our online information practices. If you choose to visit our websites or learning portals, your visit and any dispute over privacy shall be subject to this Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, including limitations on damages, arbitration of disputes and application of the law of the State of Maryland.

The governing language of these terms is English, which shall prevail over any other language used in any translated document.

We may use third-party providers to help us operate and maintain our Website and Activities, as well as deliver our products and services. Third-party service providers are contractually restricted from using or disclosing the information, except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or to comply with legal requirements.

2) Data Retention

Generally, we will retain data for between two (2) and four (4) years after the last contact.

3) Data Subject Rights

You may to exercise your rights as a data subject (access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, as well as portability) by reaching out to us via the email addresses provided above. 

When processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Finally, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

4) Automated Decision-Making

We will not use the information we collect for making automated decisions that would have a legal or significant effect on you.
