The PepsiCo Foundation partnered with IYF to create a digital training course to help one million young women learn these vital life skills that are essential in the workplace.
The PepsiCo Foundation invested $2.5 million with IYF to develop Passport to Success® Traveler—a mobile-first, game-based learning, game-based learning, digital version of IYF’s existing, printed life skills curriculum that is currently used in classrooms and workshops around the globe.
The partners are working with non-governmental organizations and nonprofits, public education organizations, and directly with young people to help one million young women and girls access the curriculum by 2025.
The 18-unit, 10-hour online Passport to Success® Traveler online curriculum is designed for 16-24 year olds and takes a holistic approach to youth development, focusing on teaching skills that benefit young people in all areas of life. Passport to Success® Traveler supports girls and young women in continuing their education, earning sustainable livelihoods, and being successful in the workplace.
It uses the theme of travel to teach these lessons, providing local context and relevance for the skills. Learners travel the world, practicing a new life skill at each destination while exploring an entry-level job in a growth industry.
To support young women, the training was designed to be gender-smart, which means it recognizes gender dynamics and considers differences in needs between female and male participants.
It features scenarios with women serving in positions of authority and in non-traditional professional roles.
